  • Party Like A Rockstar
I am officially a xangalebrity. I had more than 90 hits before noon eastern time today. Being so famous now, I suppose I’d better find some paparazzi and make sure I’m not wearing undergarments.  </sarcasm>

Seriously,  Britney Spears is on foxnews.com’s top headlines at least once a week for nothing more than going pantyless or her latest breakdown. Now they’re going to supposedly stop reporting on her because they’re afraid of pushing her over the edge, but I feel *not* giving her the attention she craves will do that job just as well.

Caitlyn is currently craving the attention of anyone who will read to her. Sure, reading is a good thing, it increases early IQ and sets a path towards intellectualism, but her favorite books are driving the family crazy.  We now own almost EVERY Dr. Seuss book on the market and as soon as each family member walks through the door coming home from work, they are instantly demanded to sit. Caitlyn thrusts her stack of books in this person’s lap as she shouts, “Ba ook? Ba ook? Ba OOK!”

An excerpt from her favorite ba ook:

Through three cheese trees three free fleas flew.
While these fleas flew, freezy breeze blew.
Freezy breeze made these three trees freeze.
Freezy trees made these trees' cheese freeze.
That's what made these three free fleas sneeze.

The book is currently residing under the couch.
The kids are taking the deployment relatively well. Caity asks for daddy at night when it comes time for goodnight kisses. Only 173 more days to go.
    Love to all.
PS, Found a comic strip that explains my evenings with Derek:

  • by the way… the band who plays “spin around” is josie and the pussycats! :D !

  • I’ve watched psyche once or twice, I think its awesome, but I’m also not a TV fanatic, so I don’t pay attention to when it comes on.

My grandmother is the one who watches the TV shows, the mysteries, CSI, Monk, Agatha Christi books, etc. if she’s watching monk I turn the TV on and watch it too.

Haha, i’m not a point away, but close. my FATHER is the one who’s actually the genius in the family. ask him anything and he’ll research it, and find 4-5 sources, plus pictures. he’s also a bible freak, i get alot of my faith from him :)

I also get the “talk alot” part from him too XD. but that’s the PASSION XD I love it.

  • actually, i’m gonna be honest with you, I googled the lyrics XD.
I should have known immediately because i DO HAVE THAT SONG on my Zune, but on shuffle I still don’t get to listen and memorize all 1300 songs XD.

i’ve only memorized about 950..ish of them :P lol

at any rate, Dr Suess is awesome, so you’re kids are going to grow up adn be even more awesome than they already are :D .

PS: at least it isn’t Time magazine or the Cosmopolitan or whatever :P haha.

  • that comic strip is perfect. my husband and i are always saying that we are stuck in such a rut lately. every night we come home from work, make dinner, then watch prime time tv before going to bed. we only get one channel b/c we used to NOT be tv fans so we never bought cable. now it’s all we do. sad.
btw, i go to xanga.com/survey-redirect to do the surveys. you get 2,000 for each survey you complete. 99% of the time i do not qualify for the surveys but i’ve managed to get 2 done and earn my 2,000 credits (which usually take 24+ hours to show up on my account). i’d like to earn 100,000 so that i can buy premium for life. we’ll see how that goes.
congrats on becoming a xangalebrity. you deserve it. i rarely get visitors to my site (other than the lurkers who never leave any love!)

  • apparently my link above doesn’t work properly (i wonder why?!)… so here’s the link for the surveys: http://www.xanga.com/survey-redirect

  • “Always end the name of your child with a vowel, so that when you yell the name will carry.”
    HAHA I like this.

  • yay for good anime!  i’m working through azumanga daioh right now.  it’s pretty funny, but i like the manga better.

  • …so much to comment on…  But I choose brevity so as not to bore you.

    Hilarious comic strip!

I’m sorry to hear about the whole vehicle situation.  Could have been worse…  Thank God it wasn’t.

Derek will be home before you know it, or at least before you can count 20 honest politicians on your hands and toes.

    Dr. Seuess rocks!

Congrats on your celebrity-ness!  Don’t forget about us little people…

Take care up there.  We’re thinking about ‘ya.

  • More bits of brevity…
How’d you become a celebrity? I’m curious, as it seems my site has been abandoned as of late. (That may have something to do with it being protected.)
I’m so glad that you guys came through the wreck alright. Scariest… thing… ever.
And Dr.Seuss is good for you! Please, tell me I bought Goodnight, Gorilla for her. If not, I compel you to go to Target and/or Hastings and buy it. Very much good. My mom’s favorite speech therapy book. Also, reading Dr.Seuss out loud is good for old people (like us ^_^) It helps keep our mind and speech nimble… or something.
Also, since I’m too lazy to update my own xanga… I got interviews at Brandeis (Boston) and UT Houston. Yay. Will hear a yea or nay from Northwestern (Chicago) tomorrow.

    LOVE YOU!!!

  • ryc: I don’t want a fan. Friends, maybe?

  • Dr. Suess, pure genious in simplicity!!

    V.

  • lol, I used to be able to recite several Seuss books by heart.

  • That picture is priceless.

  • Just thought I’d say hi, since I stopped by. I have a toddler daughter, so I know exactly how you feel about reading the same books over and over and over and over and over…Lol! Also, my husband used to play World of Warcraft, and that was all he did forever! We are lazy bums and watch too much tv
