  •  Pointless Political Post

I love modern conservative Republicans, they make great door mats.

Have you noticed lately that there’s been a rise in conservatives standing up for themselves? It’s only a slight increase, but it’s promising. Only a few months ago, I was sick of the apathetic response that Republicans gave to anything that happened in the world around them, but lately it seems like we’re starting to get a backbone. Or maybe it’s just my state of mind? I know a little more than half of my readers are conservatives, so those of you who aren’t, bear with me. Everyone’s experienced a little bit of apathy from the party members they might have previously respected.

For instance, for his first few years in office, I saw G.W. as  a rootin tootin cowboy from Texas, but the last few years, it kinda seems like he rolls over and takes it in the rear.  I kept thinking, Geez, any self-respecting Texan would shoot the finger to these media  nazis and say, “Screw you, I’m doing the best I can.” I guess he’s gotten to the point in his presidential career that he realizes he’s got no one to really impress because he can’t be re-elected. I just get so frustrated. I see the ACLU running amok and tearing the Christ out of any and every  monument they find and of  course their bosom buddies (liberal dems) cheering them on…

But where’s my party? Where are the God-fearing Christian conservatives?  Why aren’t they shouting in protest?  I just left Ohio and I don’t believe there were more than two conservatives at any given time near me. I’m in Indiana now and I feel  a little better about our standings in the continental US. So is it my state of mind that’s changed? Am I just feeling better now that I’m in a conservative state or have the rest of you noticed that we’re doing better?

Granted, my Republican candidate isn’t in the running for the White House anymore, but I do feel VERY confident knowing that McCain has had temper issues in the past. Perhaps I’ll finally get a president who’ll shoot the finger and tell the press what he really thinks of the way they handle media coverage. Where’s the real news? Come on, how many more Brittney panty shots are we going to have to sit through, CBS? OH SNAP!

                                                    OHSNAP

Maybe we’ll finally get a president who won’t be able to hold back his words when he hears lies?  I don’t worry about him having a PMS fit and pushing the nuke button, that’s what a checks and balance system is for.

Now, for my democratic friends: A cartoon for whichever candidate you  support.

  • LOL, good toons…that ACLU had me rolling…  Lemme tell ya, sis, it’s both.  We’re getting better about standing up for what’s right and common sense and as more and more people start waking up, there is a change in state of mind.

And…as the months go on and gets closer…I feel very confident about the outcome…

  • A few months ago, I was a bit depressed about the state of US popular opinion. But it seems that the more conservative among us are waking up. I am optimistic

  • The key to conservatism is consistency.

The message has been the same since the American Revolution: small government driven by the electorate, low or no taxes and personal liberty guaranteed by strict, literal interpretation of the Constitution. America’s greatest sins are commited when she abandons one or more of these fundamental principles.

BTW, “Criteria for the ProperTactical Usage of the Term “Oh, Snap!” is my new desktop background. Hilarious!

  • @SwordAndSacrifice - Glad you enjoyed it!! ^_~

  • @Viktorious1 - Yay conservatives! “With less heads stuck up their toushies, we can all acheive more.”

  • I like how Kim Jong Il is just chilling out and leaning up against his atom bomb.

  • I love this post! Thanks for sharing, I agree conservatives have sat back and cried for far too long, we need to take a stand!

I love the comics about the two Dems too.

    And your music! Mario!!!!

    God Bless,
    Tom

  • Gee, I never knew you were funny too :)

Love the post, and keep at it. I was thinking much the same of old W lately, but it’s true that he ( to some extent ) has no more to prove. The only thing that gets me is the golden opportunity that he might not see in that. Since he is only to be judged by history now, he has the freedom to be even more Bold. To sit higher in the saddle. Perhaps ( since naturally he reads all my posts :) ) he will see this post of yours, and get back to riding herd.

    Oh snap?!

  • (I have nothing to say about politics. I choose to abstain as much as possible.)

I tried to send you a graduation announcement, but it got sent back. Can you email me your new address/tell me if you want an announcement, please?

    Love ya!

  • @James3_1 - Darn tootin! If I were in the seat G Dub was sitting in, I would totally throw away my inhibitions about “approval rating” nonsense and do what was RIGHT, not necessarily what was popular. If I heard some of the crap the Dems were saying about a living hero like Gen. Petraeus I would CONFRONT them in my very next state of the union or press conference.

I know personally, my actions in life have been judjed upon what was rightnot, what would make me more liked. I’d like to think that even if history recognized me as a bafoon, it’d be worth it if I truly carried  out my actions for the sake of justice.

  • excellent correction of my statement! I didn’t think it through enough ( regarding being judged by history). Not saying it was your attempt to correct me, it may or may not have been, but you did, and I thank you for that. You hit the nail on the head. Even history’s judge is of no consequence to conviction, that of Godly conviction. G.W. says he is a christian. I believe it, and as such, you are right, that is the judge to which he could have been more accountable to. Of course, let it be known that I am not worthy to say he has failed, since I don’t ( listen up america) HAVE THE SLIGHTEST CLUE WHAT THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT ENTAILS, and then cannot say whether all he did was right or not. I don’t know all he had to consider. So, yes, it must be absolute truth that is the judge we seek to please.

Good point. You are very wise, even in very simple things!

  • @James3_1 -

By the way I was looking at your icon photo and it reminds me of the Bible verse “Fishers of men.” However, it’s a fish, not a man on the hook. Good call there. =)

  • @life_by_us -

*laughing uncontrollably*  See, it actually is a man on the hook, but to avoid a lawsuit by the A.C.L.U. for inhumane treatment of sinners, I had to photoshop it to make it look like a fish, then I had to photoshop it to look like only a photo of a fish, since they were going to sue me for cruelty to animals, but then I had to photoshop it back into a regular fish to avoid a lawsuit for opression to real fish everywhere by presuming that I knew what a photo would look like, and to avoid the lawsuit of being so arrogant as to think I had the right to tell a fish what they should look like.

Not quite sure where I am in the “pandering to the Americans Critique-ing Lawful Unique-ness” anymore.

  • @James3_1 - In case you didn’t know this already- you’re just a card shy of a full deck. You should fit in perfectly with my audience here. We fill the xanga family tree with nuts.  =) Glad we met.

  • @life_by_us -

If I am only ONE card shy of a full deck, I assure you that is purely circumstance. Perhaps I unknowingly stepped on some chewing gum, then walked over a few cards here and there. I am not guilty of having these cards. I didn’t know!!!   Please don’t punish me for having that many cards, I am so sorry. I will buy new shoes immediately! :)
