Campaign Videos and a Curious Village
The Xangan Idol Quiz of Doom is over and I’m still in the race for Amandasbiggestfan’s competition. So far, we’ve made it to the top 8 and the final three will be revealed this evening. SO VOTE NOW. Onto bigger and better conversations, I’ll be headed to Texas tomorrow morning so no guarantees that I’ll be able to make a post for a day or so. My mother in law insists upon telling me what a dork I am for the amount of time I spend blogging.

I play video games. My current game is on the DS, Professor Layton and the Curious Village. Why would I mention this, you ask? Because it’s kicking my ASS. Everytime you go to interact with ANYBODY, they ask you a riddle. Would you like to move ahead two steps? You can’t because there’s a riddle in the way. Can you solve the puzzle? If not you get to go NOWHERE. Enjoy that.

I buy comic boooks regularly. My last purchase was two weeks ago, a 1972 Batman. If you love other heroes, that’s fine too. But you know who the best is. Search your heart. You’ll find the bat-shaped answer. (*sighs* I SWEAR I’m really 24.)

My secret celebrity crush is Michael Bolton. Eat my shoe if you want to disagree. He’s got a sexy voice and he sings his love songs to me when nobody is looking. My not-so-secret crush is my husband. Yeah, I know… LAME. But I don’t care. I’ve only ever had eyes for him. He was my first boyfriend and will forever be my last kiss.

check out transmetropolitan sometime. warren ellis is an AMAZING writer when pertaining to social commentary. additionally pick up the dark knight returns sometime. amazing bit of writing by frank miller.

i do love batman but contrary to popular opinion, spiderman holds first place in my heart. i don’t read or buy comic books but i do love video games way too much. i was just playing mysims on DS and it’s addictive. the problem though is that anytime there is a really cool game out there, it’s on a system that i don’t own, so then i have to have that one. haha. i do like michael… buble. but for the same reasons you like bolton.

@lesannejenk - Buble isn’t bad at all. I remember as a kid giving my mom endless amounts of CRAP for liking Michael Bolton. Then I understood what it was like to have him sing you love songs when your husband is away. *le sigh*

Batman was all right in The Dark Knight Returns. The Sandman I’m talking about is a Neil Gaiman creation (http://www.amazon.com/Sandman-Vol-Preludes-Nocturnes/dp/1563890119).
Adam West is the f-ing MAN. I’m a little sad you didn’t mention Robin, though, especially in connection with the 60′s Batman… Burt Ward was damn cute back in the day…

@Carolina17 - Adam West is classic Batman, but his voice acting on Family Guy is why I stay up late to watch.. He’s the B.A. (bad ass) I’m kinda in love with batman cartoon style. 60′s Batman just makes it waaaay too obvious that the man is wearing a cape and panty hose….
