Settle Down
I messaged everyone I could think of tonight. I’m antsy and nothing seems to calm me. It’s a whopping two weeks until I’m back in Indiana and I’m NERVOUS about seeing my husband again. High expectations? No. There’s no explanation. I’ve lost weight, whitened my teeth, cut my own hair, etc. It doesn’t have to do with looks. We’ve saved a ton of money in the bank. Not worried about monetary troubles.My spiritual life is healthy. WHY CAN’T I CALM DOWN? Why am I so nervous about seeing him again? It’s absolutely ridiculous and I get frustrated with myself at my own anticipation. I feel like I’m twelve again. I’ve been wanting him home for months now and here he comes. Why do I feel nauseous?
This is the very reason I can’t sleep at night: nerves. In 8 hours my babies will wake up and I’ll have just drifted off to sleep. I’m unable to sleep because of the most random thought trails running through my head. As I begin to drift, I jerk awake with the most obscure thoughts. I’ve played my DS and the Proffessor Layton game until I want to scream. Note to self, the Proffessor and his obnoxious riddles do not help one to settle down.Any suggestions?

Hello there.. How are you?
No suggestions, but I been noticing your pictures of late. Yes you have lost weight, yes your hair looks better than ever and your smile is radiant. In other words you are as hot as a cat on a hot tin roof. He is so going maul you!
I am so happy for you. I would not be about to sleep if I were you
Awwwww… I wish you could calm down.. Maybe you’re excited!! Coz well, you haven’t seem him, and now you’re finally gonna see him!! Huzzah!! Maybe it’s that? Haha I’m sorry if I’m not helping you at all but I hope you know that I’m here to talk..

*heart* thanks Paige, you get a hug. It doesn’t calm me any more but it kinda inflates my ego a touch.

I wish I could be excited without getting so over worked on the whole thing. *sighs* Then I’ll see him and it won’t be some big deal. Suspense and I don’t do so well together.

awwww… i wish i can hug you too.
i just had this crazy observation.. you and paige look quite the same.. you’re both gorgeous!!
Anxiety and excitement often feel like the same thing, and if I were you, then I’d be feeling a mixture of both. My best suggestion is distractions. Read a feel-good book (no mysteries, thrillers, or page-turners because they’ll keep you up) or watch an episode (or two or three) of a funny sitcom. Look on YouTube, if you don’t have any on DVD or there’s nothing good on TV.
Good luck and sleep well!

Thanks love. I love watching stupid youtube videos. I’ve also been looking at lolcats. It’s better than a Hallmark card.
You’re about to see the love of your life after a long absence, I’d expect nothing less than what you’re feeling. You look awesome (extremely blessed man to have such an awesome wife as yourself), and honestly, I bet he’s just as nervous and antsy as well…I suppose we shouldn’t expect to hear from you for awhile though…
btw…have you seem my Muse?

Wow, tonight is full of ego-inflating compliments. You’re a doll. Did you know that at Urbandictionary.com there’s a typo in the definition of “RUNNOFT”?
@life_by_us -
Really? heh…didn’t know that… in fact I’ll have to go and look it up now…
@life_by_us -
forgot to add this one: do you have a redhead/green-eyed sister? if ya do…you can send her my way, if not…well…tsk…such a shame
@Viktorious1 -
Haha, I have two sisters but they’re only 17. Sorry dude. I’ll have to go with the ‘tsk’ for now.

Oh yeah, I’d say so too…anyways, I happy family reunion
I think that you are just overly excited and it is coming off as nervous. Best of luck. I am happy that he is coming home.
You should use all that anxious energy and make him a present. Break out the cunstruction paper and glitter and get your arts and crafts on!
@life_by_us - if you need suggestions, I recommend Whose Line is It Anyway. EilisAngelos told me about it. absolutely hilarious.
and yeah, I agree with everyone else. you look awesome, I’m sure he’s awesome, and it’s all going to be wonderful. c’est la vie, l’amour, oui oui!
The feelings are normal! How exciting for you.
Yeah Indiana, that’s my old stompin’ grounds.
I think how you’re feeling is normal. I’ve read that using a computer or watching television right before bed is bad because the bright, flashing lights and noises get your senses all revved up so it’s hard to fall asleep. I’d suggest doing a quiet activity, like reading or scrapbooking or something. Maybe make a short scrapbook for your hubby…
