Who I am
I’m so irritated right now, so sit down and shut up.
I’m a praying woman. I’m a friggin Catholic and I don’t care what nasty stereotypes you associate me with. I cling to my family, my morals, my guns, my Bible, my faith and my good friends. I don’t care that you’re stupid enough to disagree with my way of living. I’ll respect yours enough not to call you a moron to your face. (although you can be sure at some point, I’ve thought it.) I know who I am, ad I shine at it.
I think recycling and alternative energy are a great thing to teach our children and practice in our daily lives. I support fair trade and organic products and don’t care if I get called a “greenie beanie”. I’m proud of the mother I am, the daughter I am, the sister I am, the friend that I am. I know who I am and I’m glad to be me.
When you try and insult me by saying things you think are hurtful, it’s okay. I know who I am. I’m proud of who I am. You insult me because you’re too small minded to be comfortable and know who you are. I know who I am and I’m proud of it.
If you don’t like the things I say, don’t read my blog. I don’t care if you disagree with me, but you don’t have to be rude when you do so. It just tells me that your anger replaces the knowledge you wish you had on the subject you’re debating. I know who I am and I’m smart as hell.
These are all the things I am.
Confuse me with other ideas, people, views, whatever. But your judgment of me does not affect who I am. My judgment lies in the hands of one person and His opinion is the only one that matters. DEAL!

i can relate. not because i’ve judged you, but because, as a fellow Catholic, i’ve no doubt been judged by people like the person(s) this post is aimed at. kudos to you for standing up for what you believe in and for not being afraid to let people know where you stand. people who stereotype Catholics know very little about our faith. people hate what they do not know.

*laughs* I won’t reveal their identity, but there are three of them. I can tell you that between my pro-life blogs, my political blogs, and my religious blogs, I’ve been in a private message battle with three individuals who are filled with hate and anger towards that which they do not agree with. Instead of letting America remain a country of free speech, they feel the need to tear down all of those whom they don’t see eye to eye with.

If you want to talk about it, we can. I don’t think you are an idiot. I don’t think I know it all. Well, once I was wrong. Once. But it is important to note that seeking God’s truth must always be done to edify the believer, not condemn the unbeliever or judge a believer as an unbeliever. Anyone who wants to talk about theology has to do so from a standpoint of bringing God glory ultimately. Otherwise it is merely puffing ones’ self up. Unfruitful, and honestly, blasphemous.

You have to laugh it off, because the small and insignificant idiots that are insulting you here can do NOTHING to you really. I have been chased, shot at, nearly stabbed to death, mortared, and blown up several times, there is nothing some 15 year old liberal know-it-all sittin in his mommy’s basement who has done NOTHING in real life can do to me. When death is your constant companion day in and day out for 14 months of your life, you learn that fear is a worthless emotion and you let go of it. I went to Iraq full of fear and lived through it, now I fear nothing.
Stand by your principles. I agree with you and the majority of people in this country do as well. You are strong, beautiful, and powerful; that and you have God in your heart. What can mortal man do to you, thats right….nothing.

I have the UTMOST respect for the work you’ve done for your country. What these know-nothing libs don’t understand is how hard you soldiers worked so they could have the *freedom* to sit int heir momma’s basement and bitch on subjects they know nothing about.
