  • Doubters Beware

Everyone’s  talking about the Palin speech and how fantastic it was. Well…… it was!
The Democrats are so afraid of this massive following of Sarah Palin and they’re trying EVERY trick they can to discredit her. But last night, she basically looked at the camera and said, “Obama media: Suck it.  Current Republicans who’ve lost their backbones:  Grow up or get out the way. Trash talkers: BRING IT.”
She called out anyone and everyone with opposition to her accepting this position and basically said, “I’m not afraid of you. I’m going to do a damn good job and I know it. I’m  going to stand up for what’s right and  you’re not going to stand in my way.”
The Obama media must have known that she was talking about them because MSNBC  and CNN were alot kinder about her speech in the aftermath than I expected them to be.  They’re already trembling at the amount of followers she’s gathered and think we’re becoming brainless  supporters who would follow her to the moon and back. (Basically, they think we’ve become  Obama supporters)
Here’s what happened to the ever starry-eyed Obama loving MSNBC before the speech:
     Getting Schooled 101

About friggin time. If you’re going to cause opposition to the Republican party, it’s about friggin time that we stood up and gave it right back.
Let’s face it, Reps: we’ve been embarrassed of our party lately. All of the representatives we’ve had in Congress lately have pretty much bent over and let their counter parts stomp all over them.  Recently, I saw the old Rep fire come back with the stand in after Congress was dismissed without the oil  vote.  But now… Now we’ve not just got a little fire… We’re burning the house down.
The other thing that’s getting firey is the feminists underpants. Not all of them, I know, but some of the bigger, more prominent  voices in feminism are going red at this woman. I thought they’d be excited to see a woman take such a fantastic position. But because of the fact that she usually wears skirts, (which they see as demeaning to women), she’s pro-life (also against the feminism flow) and….. she’s *gasp* pretty!
I know it sounds like I’m grasping at straws here, but check out this Susan Reimer article (Click here)  and tell me what she complains about the most? Sarah’s looks.  There was an article this morning about how “out of date” Palin’s hair style is. Oh give me a BREAK.  Because that really dictates how good of a job she’ll do, huh?

I’m so excited about this election. May the best man and woman win!

PS, to my Dem friends: If my candidate wins, I’ll bake you sympathy brownies. With caramel. Mmmmm…..
    I love you guys too.

  • Can I get the brownies with caramel for voting the right way?  YUM!  Oh, great… now I want brownies!

  • @Stacey -

Dude, I’m making brownies regardless of who wins. I’m just making myself look nice by offering it to the sillies who read my blog. SYmpathy brownies for them if I win and sympathy brownies for me if we don’t win. Either way… BROWNIES!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It is about time people start standing up for what they belief and stop pandering….I find no coincidence that because Sarah is such a individual that it has encouraged others to be bold and less timid and stand up.  I must admit…I wonder if this is what an Obamanite must feel like…this…exhilaration and hope for what is to come…I mean…a month ago this was not the case…  I dunno…I can only hope that my prediction comes to past…(I blogged my electorial prediction a few days ago).

  • it is about time we get a Rep. who isn’t afraid to throw back a few punches.  i’m finally getting excited about this election!  Sarah Palin’s speech was awesome!  she was right on the money with pretty much everything she said.  now i’m looking forward to McCain’s speech tonight.

  • I was kind of excited about the speech last night. Palin seems like a really strong woman and someone that I want to watch closely.

  • I am glad you are baking brownies no matter what.  We will be home (in Texas) at Thanksgiving, I am sure hoping to see you and now I want brownies then too………………..  love ya girlie pooh

  • I just find it funny that the same crap that was leveled at Hillary Clinton suddenly earns a smack on the hand when aimed at Sarah Palin. NOW, the pundits are screaming sexism? When they told Hillary to suck it up and play with the big boys? NOW all of a sudden, being a mayor of a town of 9000 in the middle of nowhere is experience but being state senator or federal senator isn’t? When being mayor of a city of 150,000 isn’t good enough? When the GOP was belittling the family values of the Spears family and hauling them on the carpet because an underage minor was pregnant and chose to keep the child, I didn’t hear the GOP serenading Jamie Lynn Spears for her Pro-life choice. I heard comments about the “pinheads” for parents who weren’t in control of their daughter, how teenage pregnancy was a blight on the nation, and how those Liberals were in danger of corrupting our morals. And let’s face it; if Sarah Palin were a Democrat, the GOP would have publickly villified her.

I guess it’s all in the spin, isn’t it. And which side of the fence on which you sit.

  • it’s the fact that she actually has executive experience and has a record to back up her rhetoric, unlike biden and obama.  What i find funny is how the liberals said obama was the candidate to vote for because he wanted change.  Hmm.. she says she wants change and her record proves it, you folks and the Obamedia criticize her for it.  Interesting.  But then again, I’ve yet to meet a lib who isn’t a hypocrite.

  • @life_by_us -

Why can’t we solve all our problems with brownies???

  • @Lithium98 - *laughs* all the ovens cooking for world peace would contribute to global warming. *smirks*

@grim_truth - ”Yet to meet a lib who wasn’t a hypocrite.” YES! So funny… By the way, the governor photo you left a comment on really is a shirt. I saw it on Drudge report’s website, check out their store.

@Viktorious1 - I read your blog prediction the other day. As long as McCain’s numbers are on top, I’m golden!

  • I’m totally on your side. Anyone who tries to get a librarian fired for not helping her ban books obviously has the backbone necessary to tell those lefties that the Bill of Rights were really more like guidelines than rules, and Sarah Palin is that lady.

  • I liked her speech as well. My mom said that she was boring and didn’t hold peoples attention, but yet again she is for Obama. It was so cute when her little daughter licked her hand to fix the babies hair!i!i!i!i!i

  • I like Palin!  I think John McCain picked a winner

  • @Pt4m1 - *giggles* you noticed that too? I LOVED it!

Actually, someone on the radio made a fantastic point today. Under Obama’s pro- choice, anytime abortion plan, Palin’s baby wouldn’t have survived.   If Palin’s baby boy with Down’s Syndrome was born to a more liberal set of parents and they had discovered his disability, would he have ever had the chance to enter the world and see all of it’s beauty? Would he have ever had a chance to feel his mother’s arms?

Obama thinks it’s okay to abort the baby up until days before it’s born if at any time the mother changes her mind about having it. I know not everyone is as pro-life as I am, but that breaks my heart….

  • @RedHairedCelt -  Either way: there will be BROWNIES!!!!

  • @Ciceros_Assassin -  Hey, it’s cool that you don’t like the woman. I read what story you were talking about. Alot of it’s heresay so there’s no grounding facts supporting either side, but it says she was doing as the voters asked. Several of her voters had mentioned books in the library with language they found offensive. Supposedly when she asked the librarian about it, she was very upset at Mrs. Palin. Mrs. Palin then responded with  “And you could be fired for not supporting your mayor.” I have no idea  what things the librarian said before  this statement.

One of the books mentioned was a children’s book on homosexuality.(“And Tango Makes Three”) Since a public library is funded by tax payer dollars, it’s the mayor’s responsibility to respond to the tax payers in how their dollars are  spent.  She must appease her consituents under the proportional democracy.

Sure, it sucks that she’s tried to get books banned and that does go against the Bill of Rights, but she was doing as her voters asked of her.

Under the Bill of Rights, I should be allowed to pray peacefully next to the property owned by Planned Parenthood. So why did my pro-life group get smoke bombed and forcibly removed when all they were doing was holding hands and praying on a street corner/public property?

  • i am nowhere near the voting age and i dont side with a certain party, but i am taking a liking to the reps this time around.

the one thing i definitely agree on is the brownies… :3 yum.

  • Well, I can’t speak for why you were removed from that corner, but I think it’s a bit off the point. I don’t disagree you have the right to pray across the street from any building you choose as long as you’re respecting others’ property. However, that infringement of your rights certainly doesn’t excuse Constitutional abuses by someone we’re considering for executive office.

By the way, the voters don’t have the option to choose to ignore the Bill of Rights. We elect representatives to protect against precisely those mobs.

  • Also… “Under Obama’s pro-choice, anytime abortion plan, Palin’s baby wouldn’t have survived.”

    Really?

I don’t remember anything about mandatory abortion in Obama’s platform.

I do, however, remember Sarah Palin’s daughter getting a choice Palin would take away from American families and give to the Federal government.

  • @Ciceros_Assassin -

I’ve been offline for a few days, so excuse my rudeness in not responding more promptly. Here’s the Snopes on the librarian/books/firing story: http://www.snopes.com/politics/palin/bannedbooks.asp
They’re a bi-partisan site so they don’t lean to make a candidate sound better. Sarah did call and ask a few questions, but never made threats towards anyone’s jobs or name any specific books to be banned. (although there was plenty of speculation on both sides)

And I have to laugh about this comment ” I do, however, remember Sarah Palin’s daughter getting a choice Palin would take away from American families and give to the Federal government.” because you say it as something horrible. But I look at it as life-saving. I love the idea that abortion be banned. We could argue this point all day long, and I think I would probably only infuriate you further but I’m a stubborn old gal. 100% pro-life. Sorry doll!

  • @life_by_us -

In that case, I apologize on your behalf to the women your party will eventually force the babies of their rapists on. Good day.

  • @Ciceros_Assassin -

Why do you always sound so vicious and scathing? Why can’t a debate be civil? I realize your outrage at what you feel to be an injustice. I feel outrage towards Obama and his infanticide votes in the Illinois Senate.
And why does everything have to be so black and white? I fully believe that even whena woman is raped, the baby still lives as a human being and if she opts for adoption, so beit. However, knowing how liberal of a society we live in, I realize if abortion was banned, we’d have to have stipulations for rape victims and mother’s whose life is in danger.

Look, you don’t have to be so overly defensive/offensive here. Your opinion is welcome so long as it’s not blatantly offensive to myself or my readers. I do appreciate your use of clean language.
