We’re PREGNANT!!!!!!
WOOHOO! I know it’s only been two months of trying but it feels like an eternity when you have to wait. Geez, even the two weeks from fertile time to testing time is an eon.(don’t get me started on the lifetime of three minutes it took to show the test positive.) Anyhow, Derek’s new mantra is “Boy, boy, boy. Very tall boy.” I’ve already gone to the lab to have my blood tested and it also came back positive so it wasn’t a fluke. My first doctor’s appointment is in April on Friday the 13th (I scoff at bad omens. HA!) and I should be due around November 16th-ish.
Michy, you weren’t the only one that said “Already?” I didn’t understand it before I had Caitlyn either. When you have a baby and want a big family, the next one can’t come fast enough. My empty arms have been aching for long enough now and Derek’s been pushing me since Caitlyn was 2 months old. As it stands, Caity will be a year and a half old when the new baby is born and old enough to understand that she gets to be mommy’s big helper with our new baby. She’s so funny with baby’s already. Anyone her age or younger she sees, she starts clapping and waving at them and as I whisper, “See the baby?” she starts giggling. I need a tiny snuggle peanut and now God has blessed me with another one. Chel-Belle called this morning and said, “But you *just* got back to your goal weight!” I know, I know… Funny the things we do for those whom we love.
The best part about this one is how close I’ll be to family. Derek’s family has been a lifesaver in the way of “Me = no friends and lonely.” Every other weekend I get to BS and make fun of my gal pals (his mom and sisters) and they give it right back to me. I *love* it. I can’t wait till they start patting my tummy and asking me why I’ve gotten so fat lately. (Don’t worry Mom, the third snuggle peanut will happen when I’m in Texas with you and Daddy can make lame jokes about me swallowing watermelon seeds.)
Allrighty folks, you know the drill. For far away friends and family we take monthly pictures. Here’s month one in all of it’s blindingly white glory:
I love you all!

Congrats Manda-Mommy! As far as names are concerned, I suppose Bobby will be pulling for “Brunhilda”–even if it is a male. Then again, “Johnnyboy” seems to be fairly popular these days too… Keep us all up to date. Oh, and cute pic yourself.
By the way, I added a lot of new photos to my blog. I did a theme on Lanterns. Go check it out later if you feel so inclined. Ta Ta…
Heart-throb, pashaw…
yeah i am going to be an aunt again!!! i am soooo happy for you!!! i love and miss you lots!!! cant wait to see you guys again!!!!
We should assume that this one will be a boy (for Derek’s sake) and call him “Thor”
;0)
Congrats to the very patient parents.
I like Thor. =)
I WAS GOING TO SAY THOR TOO!!!!!!
Yoric was a close second, but yeah Thor is the nick name i had picked out for a boy.. ya’ll are good.
man you’re a baby factory aren’t ya?? so yeah, Thor and Brunehilda, remember i said i had a dream that you’d have a little boy by this comming christmas?? i think i deserve a cookie for that. *trots off to find a cookie*
later
If ever a third should come along, “Loki” would work with the whole Norse theme. Oh yeah, there’s no sibiling rivalry like ancient mythological Nordic rivalry…
i was thinking Oden or Valkery for a third baby rocking the nors’ names and all.
I kinda like Soren.. But that’s a name I’d really use, not just “nick” them with.
Ever since xanga raised the number of blogrings for classic members from eight to twenty (premium users get thirty–bastards… and I’m one of them), I have done my part to enjoy these new opportunities. I have joined such blogging communities like, “I shower naked,” and “Argh I’m a pirate.” And who wouldn’t want to be a member of, “People who type lyk diz should be shot,” “Mystic Warrior,” and especially ”Gay is not a synonym for stupid.”
Well, I have created my own epic blogring. At least, it will be an epic blogring when more than two people have joined it. “Howling at the Moon!!” Join with me Amanda. A bunny can howl too! (So can a penguin–nudge, nudge, badtz, cough, wink wink). Join me my friends and we shall form a chorus of bloggers who will howl into the night sky! Ha HA! Oooh… time to lie down.
JOIN ME!
you should never nick a baby, that’s kidnapping!! (nick means steal in brittish english) besides, you’re churning them out like crazy!!! my little sister is getting nervse about having her kids back to back too. she wants to have another baby shower, but my mom says it’s one shower to get everything you NEED for the first baby and reuse it for the second. you know, crib, change table, diaper bags, wipe warmer box, bottles, and all the other baby stuff.. she pointed out that if it’s a boy, he’ll need new clothes, he cann’t wear girls stuff. i pointed out that the clothes she’s out grown already are non gender, so just re use those. my sister threw a shoe at me!!!! i think she just wants an excusse to go shooping and a reason for us to pay for it.
eh, as long as i’ve got babys to snuggle with i’m cool.
huggles
Huzzah! Thanks for joining in on the Howl! My plan is to increase our ranks until we reach a total of 300 bloggers strong. Then, I will lay skirmish to xanga against 30,000 other blogrings. The carnage… will be epic. (Rubs hands menacingly)
congrats Amanda! =) I’m updating on my site its kinda long entry so bare with it as you read it :p
